Alice-san Chi no Iroribata Complete Series Blu-ray Box

After ten years in Tokyo, Alice returns to her hometown and settles into an old house with an irori, a traditional sunken hearth. When her childhood friend Harumi arrives with food to share, their reunion begins with bacon sizzling over the coals and freshly made charcoal-grilled sandwiches. The hearth still has the warmth he remembers, and their conversations gradually find a rhythm around the meals they prepare.

Adapted from Bunta Kinami's manga, Alice-san Chi no Iroribata combines everyday cooking with a gentle story of reconnection. Fumika Baba plays Alice and Ryuga Sato plays Harumi, whose familiarity with his childhood friend is now mixed with new uncertainty. Kokona Sumi, Kotona Minami, Tetsuji, Moemi Katayama and Masaya Kato complete the principal cast. The focus stays close to the pleasures of shared food, the old house and the relationships gathered around its hearth.

This complete-series box contains all ten episodes and the two-part spin-off, totalling approximately 260 minutes, across three Blu-ray discs. A separate DVD adds 125 minutes of making-of material, production footage and trailers, while a 20-page booklet accompanies the four-disc set.

The Blu-rays present the series and spin-off in 1080i high definition with original Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo audio and Japanese subtitles for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing. The supplementary DVD uses Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo and has no subtitles. The Blu-ray discs are region-free, while the DVD is Region 2; a compatible DVD player is needed for that disc.
