Kiita Komagine and Taisuke Niihara co-star! A popular actor and a newcomer fall in love while filming a boys' love drama. A poignant and beautiful love story set in the entertainment industry!

The eagerly awaited live-action adaptation is based on Haruko Natsuno's hugely popular manga of the same name, serialized in on BLUE. More than 1.2 million copies were in circulation as of April 2024, and it ranked first in both the series and drama-CD categories of BL Award 2023. The work realizes the dream premise of actors playing a BL couple also becoming lovers in real life. Fans on social media voiced wishes to be fans in that world, to read it a hundred times and to see an adaptation. The much-discussed work finally becomes a live-action drama.

Komagine and Niihara team up for the first time. Komagine, who has acted in many prominent works and also works as a model and a regular on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting's Recomen!, plays popular actor Asami Hayama. Niihara, whose film and stage performances have steadily increased his reputation since winning the 2018 Danshi Kosei Mister Contest grand prize, plays newcomer Yuki Shirasaki. The combination of a hugely popular actor and an unknown young performer creates a thrilling, pulse-racing entertainment-industry romance. The drama presents familiar industry experiences and actors' particular ways of life with realism.

Shirasaki earns his chance through an audition and is cast opposite popular actor Hayama, his senior at university, in a BL drama. Troubled and impatient about his first major role, Shirasaki agrees to Hayama's proposal that they enter a romantic relationship for character preparation until filming is finished. How will their pretend romance in private life end? This is a poignant, beautiful story of love between actors.

Newcomer Yuki Shirasaki, played by Taisuke Niihara, is chosen as the counterpart in the late-night drama Hiru no Yume, starring Kiita Komagine's Asami Hayama, who was two years above him at university. Facing his first boys' love role and first major part, he cannot act as he wishes and becomes anxious. At a certain place he visits to prepare for the role, he unexpectedly runs into Hayama...

Video extras include Memories of That Spring, a very long behind-the-scenes making-of collection; behind the scenes of the pre-broadcast press conference; a visual-commentary special in which Komagine, Niihara, Usa and Nagumo compete over their favorite scenes; behind the scenes of the first Seoul fan meeting, Mada Owaranai Futari no Natsu no Hanashi; a food-and-strolling date in Seoul; and both opening sequences, the mutual-unrequited-love and mutual-love versions.

Permanent enclosed items are a Hiru no Yume script-style booklet containing an encyclopedia of the series' opening Polaroids, and an artist postcard newly illustrated by Haruko Natsuno, with reproduced Hiru no Yume cast autograph data. One postcard is randomly included from four designs.

First-production items were a purchase-exclusive paid-event application card, a drawing entry for one of ten unique opening Polaroids, and a three-dimensional acrylic stand recreating the key visual. These are limited to first-production stock and are not guaranteed. Event applications ran November 29, 2024, 12: 00, to December 15, 2024, 23: 59; the Polaroid deadline was January 31, 2025. Those application periods have ended, so the cards do not provide current eligibility.

The set contains all ten episodes: main programme, and video extras.
