Motoharu Tsujimura, the second son of the Tsujimura clinic family, has long had feelings for Akira Hasumi, a friend he met in childhood. He once confessed, but Akira could not accept his feelings and began keeping his distance. Even so, Motoharu entered the same university and joined the same laboratory as Akira.
Struggling with his feelings, Motoharu spends his days seeking the company of geisha in an attempt to forget everything. Then, one day, Akira asks him to walk home together, making him feel as though they have returned to the way things used to be. If he can stay beside Akira, even only as a friend, that will be enough - or so Motoharu thinks.
