Shin Megami Tensei

Atlus Famitsu Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux Official Perfect Guide is an official Japanese paper guidebook by Weekly Famitsu Editorial Department, published by Kadokawa under the Atlus Famitsu label.

The definitive volume that answers everything. All information is revealed: the true answers for reaching the new endings are here. It introduces the systems needed to enjoy Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux more deeply, including demon negotiation and combat. It fully reveals the rules of demon fusion, skill inheritance, fusion accidents and the development list for the important Sub Apps, and includes passwords for 35 unusual password-only demons. Walkthrough charts and key strategies for all three routes guide players toward all six endings. The points where the protagonist is asked questions and the alignment changes caused by each answer are shown, together with EX Mission availability so none need be missed. Strategies explain how to defeat the boss-class demons fought in main missions. Passwords for editorially created demons designed to guarantee victory are included to help against particularly formidable bosses. For dedicated Shin Megami Tensei players seeking stronger demons and harder challenges, the guide gathers strategies for the extremely difficult IMPOSSIBLE mode and fusion examples for powerful demons with combinations of strong skills. It equips players to conquer high difficulty and includes passwords for this book's original strongest demons. Its maps handle pits, warps, hidden doors and conveyor floors, helping progression while satisfying the urge to fill every map. Lists of demons encountered also make them useful for recruiting allies. All 80 EX Missions are supported, including those available only from the second playthrough, with help obtaining items useful in the main story and recruiting demons available only through these missions. Comprehensive game data covers demon allies, gift types and the items received, Devil Sources, skills and reverse-lookup skill lists, items and laboratory development. The spoiler-filled Yomoyama DSJ section expands and revises the Yomoyama SJ glossary from the 2010 book Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Schwarzwelt Retrospective. Newly written contributions by the development staff reveal behind-the-scenes setting details for the added story and characters. There is abundant information to explore more deeply after completing the game. This book is an expanded and revised edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Official Perfect Guide.
