Go Ayano stars in a mystery-filled picaresque drama directed by Michihito Fujii, bringing together an ensemble of leading actors. Set in Japan’s Reiwa era, Avalanche follows an unconventional group of outlaws whose identity is shrouded in mystery.
In a society where moral failings have long been condemned among both ordinary citizens and powerful politicians, bureaucrats and major corporations, the group known as Avalanche unleashes radical, exhilarating action. Its name means an overwhelming slide of snow, matching the force with which its members challenge the established order.
The release includes all ten broadcast episodes. Document of AVALANCHE, Memories of AVALANCHE and a collection of the cast’s final filming moments make up the bonus programme. A special booklet is also included.
