Azur Lane The Animation Artworks is the anime adaptation's first official production-design collection, assembled with the supervision and cooperation of Yostar and the animation production committee. Its full-colour material includes character and rigging designs with rough drawings, background art, image boards, prop designs and CG settings.

Key visuals and package illustrations accompany an extended interview with series composer Jin Haganeya and a Yostar producer. Comments from the director, character designer and art director add further production perspectives. Some characters are represented by line art and roughs only. This Japanese-language collection from Ichijinsha contains 143 pages.
