The motorcycle racing story that launched Shuichi Shigeno’s serialised manga career comes to Blu-ray for the first time. Originally published in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 1983 to 1991, Baribari Legend is a tale of youth and competition from the creator of Initial D and MF Ghost. This release brings together both OVAs from 1986 and the theatrical animation released in 1987.
Motorcycle-loving high school student Gun loses a mountain-pass battle on the Okutama road to a rider on a Katana. One day that rider, Hideyoshi, arrives as a transfer student in Gun’s class. Gun challenges him to a rematch to avenge his defeat, but another rider appears and effortlessly overtakes them both.
