Space Battleship Yamato Animation

Resistance in the fiftieth year. Continuing from 2205, a story of resistance unfolds as Yamato begins a new voyage beyond space and time. New interpretations of Be Forever Yamato and Space Battleship Yamato III, both released in 1980, reshape this beloved science-fiction saga into a new adventure.

Dezarium’s enormous mobile fortress, Grand Reverse, has finally landed on the waterfront of the new capital. Having conquered Earth, Holy President Skaldart tells its people, “We are you,” and recounts a thousand years of history. His people are searching for the “fragment of Iscandar” to change Earth’s future as it heads towards destruction. Astonishingly, they are not the enemy!

Meanwhile, the former Yamato fleet crew reaches the Icarus Observatory, where the reborn Space Battleship Yamato awaits. But Susumu Kodai, devastated by the loss of Yuki Mori, is in no state to command. He has no idea that his beloved Yuki is being cared for by Dezarium’s Major Alphon. Who are the people of Dezarium, and what is their true purpose? Seeking answers to every mystery, Yamato launches!

The fighting in the new capital comes to an end. In Grand Reverse, looming over a city scarred by battle, Skaldart begins to reveal Dezarium’s thousand-year history. Who are they really?

Having escaped the Earth sphere, Asuka arrives at the Icarus Observatory. The reborn Yamato is there, together with Sasha, the child left behind by Iscandar’s royal family—and the only family Kodai has left after losing Yuki.

Amid conflicting intentions among those who support Dezarium and those who resist, their settlement of Earth begins. While searching for the 11th Escort Squadron, Yamato comes under attack by the battleship Grodez. How can the crew fight an invisible enemy?

Kodai, drained of his spirit after losing Yuki, is relieved of command. Grodez launches another diversion against Yamato, while Dezarium intelligence officer Alphon boards the ship. His objective is the “fragment of Iscandar”!
