BLUE FIGHT: Aoki Wakamono-tachi no Breaking Down Blu-ray

Ikuto and Ryoma become close friends after meeting in a juvenile detention centre. Inspired by a speech from fighter Mikuru Asakura, they begin working towards a shared ambition: competing in the martial-arts event Breaking Down. The return of a rival with ties to their past draws them into an unexpected conflict, putting their hopes of starting new lives at risk.

Directed by Takashi Miike, BLUE FIGHT brings together the filmmaking team behind Crows Zero and the world of Breaking Down. Danhi Kinoshita and Kaname Yoshizawa, selected through auditions, lead the cast as Ikuto and Ryoma. Shin Kibayashi provides the original story and screenplay, Koji Endo composes the music, and Mikuru Asakura and Yuji Mizoguchi serve as executive producers.

The supporting cast features Mariko Shinoda, Anna Tsuchiya, Chikashi Kuon, Kyosuke Yabe, Wataru Ichinose, Konatsu Kato, On Nakano, Karma, Shoki Nakayama, Seiya, Riki Sanada, Shuzo Ohira, Miku Tanaka, Nobuaki Kaneko, Susumu Terajima, Katsunori Takahashi and GACKT.

This single-disc Blu-ray contains the 119-minute feature and approximately 37 minutes of extras. These comprise the release-celebration stage appearance, in-character interviews with Danhi Kinoshita as Ikuto, Kaname Yoshizawa as Ryoma and Chikashi Kuon as Kisshomaru, and the trailer. The film is presented in 1080p in its scope aspect ratio, with Japanese Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio and no subtitles.
