BOFURI I Don't Want to Get Hurt So I'll Max Out My Defense Anime

There is more than one world to lose yourself in. The entire first season comes to a Blu-ray box. Set in the VRMMO NewWorld Online, this adventure follows Maple, a girl who allocates all her stat points to defense, and a group of distinctly individual friends as they embark on a damage-free journey.

An extraordinary newcomer has appeared in the popular VRMMO NewWorld Online. She nullifies every attack and uses lethal poison skills to overwhelm monsters and players alike. Her bizarre fighting style earns her such names as the Walking Fortress and the Final Boss, yet the player behind it all is simply a pretty girl who has just started gaming.

Maple only began playing at her friend Sally's suggestion. Knowing little about games, she put all her stat points into VIT, the defense stat, and initially struggled even against minor monsters. But it hurts... or does it? Monsters can knock her around without causing any damage, and she even happens upon a counter skill that can defeat an enemy in a single blow. As more quirky companions join her, Maple continues to grow. Her damage-free adventure begins!

All twelve episodes are included on two Blu-rays. The outer case has newly drawn artwork by original character designer Koin, and the digipak has new artwork by character designer Kazuya Hirata. The booklet containing a novel written by original author Yuumikan for the first season's Blu-ray and DVD releases has been re-edited with newly recorded interviews. Special illustration cards reproduce those releases' jacket artwork. Video extras include the creditless opening and ending, web previews, recap footage and promotional videos and commercials. The novel material and video extras reissue content from previously released products.
