Break of Dawn Blu-ray
劇場版 ぼくらのよあけ
An unknown visitor has spent twelve thousand years travelling to Earth. Now a group of children begins a secret mission to help it return to space. Set in a housing complex in the not-so-distant future, Break of Dawn is a moving science-fiction adventure for children and adults alike.
It is the summer of 2049. Fourth-grader Yuma Sawatari lives in the Asagaya housing complex and is fascinated by the SHIII Arville comet, which will soon pass close to Earth. Then Nanako, his family’s AI-powered household robot, is hacked by an unfamiliar presence.
Calling itself the February Dawn, the visitor reveals that it came from space and descended to Earth in 2022. Damaged during its passage through the atmosphere, it disguised itself as one of the buildings in Yuma’s housing complex and went dormant. Asking the children for help, it sets their extraordinary summer mission in motion.
The release includes event footage from the public voice-recording event, the completed-film preview, a special screening at Suginami Municipal Daini Elementary School and a special stage appearance featuring a live performance by Daichi Miura. A collection of trailers and television spots is also included.
