Captain Future's soundtrack returns to vinyl with Yuji Ohno's distinctive combination of space, jazz and funk. Known also for his Lupin the Third music, Ohno creates a galactic groove here with the tight ensemble playing of Galaxy.
Andromeda no Kanata ni delivers intensely funky slap bass, while Oyasumi Futuremen features spacious, mellow Rhodes textures. In Ijigen no Eden, clipped guitar rhythms and brass intertwine with a sense of forward motion. Together, the tracks bring back the music that accompanied this space adventure.
The sixteen-track LP offers a meeting point for anime music, jazz-funk, rare groove and synthesizer sounds, from Yume no Funanori on the opening side to Poplar Doori no Ie at the close.
