Catch Me at the Ballpark! Animation

Baseball is even more fun when you become a beer vendor’s regular! Catch Me at the Ballpark! brings the popular comic serialised in Kodansha’s weekly Morning magazine to television as a comedy filled with love for the stadium. The series, which began airing in April, arrives in a Blu-ray box that lets you enjoy the atmosphere of the ballpark at home.

At Chiba Motorsuns Stadium, twenty-year-old beer vendor Ruriko is once again calling out to the spectators. Murata, an office worker approaching thirty, comes to unwind by watching baseball on his own. When the outgoing Ruriko teases him, he cannot find a comeback and ends up buying a beer. Before he knows it, he is caught up in her talkative rhythm.

This complete production limited edition contains all twelve episodes, alongside creditless opening and ending sequences, promotional videos and commercials, and the AT-X mini-programme Catch the Ballpark Staff! Its original mini-album CD collects the regular ending theme, character-specific versions of that ending and the special ending material. A special booklet and a character card styled after a professional baseball player’s card accompany the set, presented in a three-sided box newly illustrated by manga creator Tatsuro Suga with a disc case newly illustrated by character designer Fumio Iida.
