Champignon Witch Complete Series Blu-ray Box

This is a story of love: that of the kindhearted black witch Luna and the people around her. A magical fantasy of romance, adventure and emotion unfolds from Tachibana Higuchi, known for Gakuen Alice. Drawing on fantasy’s international appeal, the animation gives vivid form to Luna’s solitude, loneliness and kindness, inviting viewers to share her feelings.

Deep in a dark forest, Luna lives quietly in a house made of poisonous mushrooms. Poisonous fungi often spring up wherever she touches or walks, and poison mingles with her breath and skin. The townspeople call her the Champignon Witch. They fear her as a black witch, and nobody comes near her.

Today, as always, Luna heads into town to sell her medicine. Her remedies are enormously popular as cure-alls, and everyone who receives them voices their gratitude. Yet none of them knows who makes the medicine. Even so, Luna continues her work day after day.

Then one day, a dreamlike encounter comes to the lonely witch who has never known the warmth of another person.

The collection includes all twelve episodes in a newly illustrated case with a booklet. Audio commentary and creditless opening and ending sequences accompany the series.
