After making her major-label musical debut with Ryusei no Namida under the name CHiAKi KURiYAMA, Chiaki Kuriyama returns with a new single under her Japanese name. Tomoyasu Hotei produces, composes and arranges Kanosei Girl, creating a sharp-edged rock number whose cutting guitar sound and cool backing track meet Kuriyama’s cute yet powerful singing.

The song encourages listeners to believe in their own possibilities, overcome anxiety and inner conflict, break through difficult circumstances and live freely as themselves. Its message reflects Kuriyama’s willingness to take on new challenges, while Junji Ishiwatari’s inventive wordplay adds another attraction. Kanosei Girl became the October opening theme for TV Tokyo’s Yorinuki Gintama-san.
