CONTRAST - Yuu Character Artworks is the artist's first collection, bringing together more than 250 illustrations from books, games, animation and virtual performers. Original pieces previously shared online and in independently published books appear alongside numerous newly drawn works, including the cover.
Featured projects include Marinasu, LiLYPSE, Hatsune Miku, Nijisanji, Is the Order a Rabbit?, Megido 72, Tokyo Chronos and CHUNITHM CRYSTAL. Card illustrations for Sengoku Taisen, Sangokushi Taisen and WIXOSS broaden the selection. Book illustration is represented by Kyakuhonka no Serifu!, Baka-jita Kyuketsuki no Yoshokuten ni Mono Mosu!, Tsubasa no Datsuzei Chosa Nikki, Real Cheat Online and Tenkujo Satsujin Jiken, alongside commercial artwork for confectionery, drinks, education and creative software.
A making-of feature follows the creation of the cover, while ten questions explore Yuu's working methods. Designed by BALCOLONY. and published by MdN Corporation, this Japanese-language artbook contains 192 pages.
