Crayon Shin-chan Animation

A summer adventure! A spectacular dinosaur movie! A small encounter, an enormous bond. The thirty-first Crayon Shin-chan movie is a gigantic adventure overflowing with laughter and tears. “I want us to stay together forever.” Released in Japanese theatres on August 9, 2024, this is the series’ first dinosaur panic movie, with summer vacation as its theme.

Dino’s Island, a vast theme park that brings dinosaurs back to life in the modern world, opens in Tokyo. Children and adults alike are fascinated by dinosaurs, and dinosaur fever is sweeping the world!

Meanwhile, Shin-nosuke and his friends are spending a special summer with Nana, a little dinosaur Shiro has met. The Nohara family forms a new bond, remembering that this was how Shiro, too, gradually became part of their family. An unbelievable struggle over Nana begins! Bubble Odoroki, the founder of Dino’s Island, uses every means possible to discover Nana’s whereabouts, before a certain secret is revealed.

Shin-nosuke meets Billy, who knows Nana’s secret, and the two begin travelling together. Then trouble strikes and the dinosaurs make a mass escape! They rampage through Tokyo and Kasukabe, destroying buildings and knocking cars aside as terrible danger closes in on Shin-nosuke and Shiro. Even the Nohara home, with thirty-two years still left on its mortgage, is crushed by a dinosaur, leaving Hiroshi in tears.

What is the secret of Nana, their companion for one special summer? Shin-nosuke, Shiro and the Kasukabe Defence Force fight with all their might in Tokyo’s Shibuya district to protect Nana. Beyond their confrontation with enormous dinosaurs awaits a climax that will leave you laughing and crying!

Bonus footage includes theatrical teasers and trailers, television and web spots, the creditless clay-animation opening and ending, a special music video for the theme song and a still-image gallery of production designs.
