Crusher Joe Artworks collects Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's covers, interior illustrations and pencil studies for Haruka Takachiho's space-opera novels. Its survey spans thirteen main novels and three side stories, following artwork through successive editions.
Scans of the original drawings are printed in full color, including illustrations previously reproduced only in monochrome. The archive restores magazine images never collected in the novels and also presents illustrations drawn by Fujihiko Hosono while standing in for Yasuhiko.
A conversation between Takachiho, Yasuhiko and Hosono looks back at the series and the beginnings of Japanese space opera. Guides to the crew, machinery and equipment accompany a bibliography. Published by Genkosha, this Japanese-language volume contains 272 pages.
