The eagerly anticipated new television series, Date A Live IV, began broadcasting in April 2022.

The production team behind the theatrical event Series composition is handled by Fumihiko Shimo, whose work includes BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense, NEW GAME! and many other productions. Go on a date and make them fall for you!

Shido Itsuka possesses the unusual ability to seal a Spirit's power by kissing her once she has fallen for him and her affection has reached its maximum, then turn that power into his own. By suppressing the immense spiritual powers that draw the Spirits into a spiral of conflict, and sometimes wielding those powers to protect them, he saves the Spirits one after another. The Spirits Shido has saved, those he has yet to encounter, and those who confront them through means different from Shido and Ratatoskr: their brief quiet is broken, and Shido's war — his date — begins again.

This second Blu-ray box includes episodes 7–12. The publisher postponed the release from September 28 to October 12, 2022 because of manufacturing circumstances and apologised to customers awaiting it.
