Dear Family Movies

You no longer need to worry about my life...

Only ten years remain to save their daughter's life. Dear Family tells a true story of love, following a family that takes on the challenge of developing an artificial heart.

Born with a heart condition, young Yoshimi is told that she has only ten years to live. She will not even reach her twentieth birthday. Wherever her family seeks medical care in Japan, the reality remains unchanged.

In the midst of this despair, her father Nobumasa, who runs a small local factory, stands up and declares, "Then I'll make it myself." With neither medical knowledge nor experience, he puts forward an extraordinary idea born of his desperate determination.

Only ten years remain for his daughter's heart. If they do nothing, those ten years will simply be spent waiting for death. The Tsuboi family rises to change Yoshimi's future.

The immense challenge of a family that refuses to give up is about to begin.
