Dekoboko Imaginary Manga Covers invents nonexistent manga through cover-style illustrations, previews and newly designed title logos. Jiro Suzuki builds each duo or trio around differences in physique, then adds contrasts in age, status, species or personality.
The imagined casts include a dragon-possessed sister and her protective brother; a brawny older gentleman and cerebral newcomer; an exorcist, his younger brother and an unusual creature; and a princess with an apprentice knight. Airline pairings bring together a feminine young male attendant and an older aircraft-obsessed captain, or a popular female copilot and a male colleague hoping for romance. Supernatural companions include a sensitive werewolf, reclusive gamer vampire and innocent artificial child; a serpent sage and dutiful human servant; and a shy incubus with a weary middle-aged jiangshi.
The book adds 24 pages of character settings and 28 pages of new manga. Published by PIE International, this Japanese-language softcover contains 112 pages, including 80 in color.
