I hate myself, and I love myself. A striking creative chemistry brings a fresh breeze to Japanese cinema. In the uncertain world of the 2020s, she is living in the present.
Mean, a liar, and violent—yet everyone becomes captivated by her. The world is boring, and so is life. Twenty-one-year-old Kana goes through each day carrying feelings she has nowhere to put.
She leaves Honda, who is kind but dull, for the confident and exciting Hayashi and tries starting a new life. Gradually, however, Kana finds herself cornered by her own self. As she struggles and collides with the world around her, will she be able to find a place where she belongs?
