While pursuing a man across Mount Mihotake in Nagano's Yatsugatake range, detective Kansuke Yamato glimpses an unexpected figure. In that moment of distraction, a rifle shot grazes his left eye and an avalanche sweeps him away. Ten months later, having miraculously survived, he and Yui Uehara investigate an attack on a researcher at the Nobeyama Radio Observatory. When the observatory's huge antenna begins to move, Kansuke's injured eye suddenly throbs with pain.

That evening, Kogoro Mori receives a call from an old police colleague nicknamed Wani. He is investigating the avalanche and has found Kogoro's name in the case file. Conan accompanies Kogoro to their planned meeting, but a gunshot rings out before they arrive. An unfulfilled promise and the images lingering behind Kansuke's damaged eye draw them into a mystery beneath the mountain's snow and ice.

Minami Takayama voices Conan Edogawa, Wakana Yamazaki is Ran Mori, Rikiya Koyama is Kogoro Mori and Megumi Hayashibara is Ai Haibara. Yuji Takada plays Kansuke Yamato, Show Hayami is Takaaki Morofushi and Ami Koshimizu is Yui Uehara, with special guests Takayuki Yamada and Mizuki Yamashita. Kenichi Ogata returns as Professor Agasa, Yukiko Iwai as Ayumi Yoshida, Wataru Takagi as Genta Kojima and Ikue Otani as Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya.

This single-disc standard edition contains the 110-minute feature, with Japanese audio, Japanese subtitles and Japanese audio description. An illustrated postcard accompanies the disc.
