Towards our future! The Digimon Adventure 02 team returns as adults, uncovering the sad yet tender truth hidden behind the birth of the DigiDestined.

The Digimon anime series captivated children when the first Digimon Adventure theatrical film appeared in 1999 and the television series began that same year. In 2000, Digimon Adventure 02 followed with new DigiDestined, including Daisuke Motomiya and Veemon, joining their partner Digimon on an adventure to save the Digital World from another crisis. Its distinctive appeal captured the hearts of a new generation.

The 2020 film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna brought renewed attention to the franchise by showing the grown-up Taichi Yagami and Agumon. In 2023, the grown-up Adventure 02 team returned to the big screen.

What is friendship? What is happiness? Dedicated to every child who grew up alongside Digimon, this is a story that must be faced before reaching the future shown at the end of Digimon Adventure 02. A gate to a new adventure opens.

It is 2012, ten years after the adventures that took the team between Odaiba and the Digital World. Although each has begun following a different path, Daisuke and the other DigiDestined remain bound to their partner Digimon by unchanging bonds.

One day, an enormous Digi-Egg suddenly appears above Tokyo Tower, sending a message around the world: "Friends for everyone. A Digimon for every person in the world." As the world watches, a young man named Lui Ohwada appears before Daisuke and the others, carrying a broken Digivice.

Behind the birth of the DigiDestined lies a single wish made by Lui as a child. When past and present connect, the greatest crisis in Digimon history arrives. What path will the Adventure 02 team choose? Once again, the grown-up DigiDestined set out.

The regular edition comes in an outer sleeve. Supplementary footage includes promotional videos and opening footage without credits.
