Digimon Adventure Anime

The adventure from twenty years ago returns! Digimon Adventure was rebooted in 2020 for a new era. This fifth box brings the series to its conclusion.

The year is 2020. Networks have become essential to human life, but humanity does not know about the infinite Digital World beyond the network, or the Digimon who live there. A large-scale network failure strikes the Tokyo metropolitan area: traffic lights flash wildly and outdoor displays show garbled text. News reports call it cyberterrorism.

Fifth-grader Taichi Yagami lives in a high-rise apartment near Tokyo. He stays home alone to prepare for a weekend summer camp, but his mother and younger sister Hikari, who have gone to Shibuya, are on a train that can no longer stop. Taichi hurries to Shibuya to save them. As he heads toward the station platform, a mysterious phenomenon affects the Chosen Children and Taichi enters the Digital World. The children meet their partner Digimon and face an unknown adventure.

In this final volume, Taichi and WarGreymon are caught in a massive explosion, leaving the children grief-stricken. Meanwhile, Millenniummon's revival draws closer with every passing moment. The three-disc box contains episodes forty-nine through the final episode, sixty-seven. A special booklet, a newly illustrated three-sided box and picture-label discs are included. Video extras are credit-free ending sequences.

The cast features Yuko Sanpei as Taichi Yagami, Daisuke Namikawa as Yamato Ishida, Yumiko Kobayashi as Koshiro Izumi, Ryoko Shiraishi as Sora Takenouchi, Takeshi Kusao as Jo Kido, Marika Kono as Mimi Tachikawa, Megumi Han as Takeru Takaishi and Misaki Watada as Hikari Yagami. Their Digimon partners are Chinatsu Sakamoto as Agumon, Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon, Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon, Atori Shigematsu as Piyomon, Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon, Kinoko Yamada as Palmon, Miwa Matsumoto as Patamon and Mie Sonozaki as Tailmon.
