Digimon Anime

The hugely popular Digimon series returns. Relive the excitement of that time across four series. Three years after the previous adventure, the Digital World has fallen under the control of the Digimon Emperor. A new group of Chosen Children rises to restore its peace.

The television series Digimon Adventure, broadcast in 1999; Digimon Adventure 02, in 2000; Digimon Tamers, in 2001; and Digimon Frontier, in 2002, are reissued as separate Blu-ray boxes. Following the popular Digimon Adventure television anime, the second television series, Digimon Adventure 02, returns with all fifty episodes at a more affordable price. This box contains Adventure 02; the other series are separate products. The Adventure 02 Blu-ray box arrives in a still more accessible edition. It is the second instalment of the Digimon television anime series, which remains immensely popular. As a direct sequel to Digimon Adventure, it inherits that series' characters and world. Digital remastering using the latest technology presents the picture in HD. The original release promotion also announced that the new animated feature Digimon Adventure 02 THE BEGINNING, continuing the story of the second television series, would open on October 27, 2023. This is historical theatrical-release information.

Story Three years have passed since the adventures of Taichi Yagami and the other eight Chosen Children. In the Digital World, where peace should have been restored, a boy calling himself the Digimon Emperor suddenly appears and attempts to control the Digimon at will. Meanwhile, Takeru transfers to Hikari's school and meets Daisuke, Miyako and Iori. An email asking for help arrives from Taichi, who has travelled to the Digital World. With newly acquired Digivices in hand, Daisuke and his friends head there. Daisuke awakens Veemon from the Digi-Egg of Courage discovered by Taichi. Thanks to Veemon's Armor Digivolution, they finally drive back the enemy. Thus begins the adventure of a new group of Chosen Children, seeking to restore peace to the Digital World.
