Digimon Animation

The excitement of Digimon returns. One day, a blue card found by chance sets a new adventure in motion the moment it is swiped.

First broadcast in 2001, Digimon Tamers is the third television series in the franchise and renews the world established by its predecessors. Its realistic story developments, including elements from the card game popular at the time, won acclaim. The adventures have been remastered in high definition using modern digital technology and return in a more accessible box edition.

Takato is an ordinary boy who loves Digimon. The blue card he finds contains a mysterious power that transforms his card reader into a real Digivice.

With his heart pounding, Takato watches the Digimon egg, a Digi-Egg, shown on the screen. Yet the next morning he finds that it has already broken open and is empty.

Takato goes out to search for the Digimon that must have been born. He meets Guilmon, a Digimon of his very own, born looking exactly as he imagined.

Delighted to have met Guilmon, Takato works hard to care for him, even as he makes mistakes and becomes discouraged. Their adventure together has only just begun. What incidents await them next?

The edition comes in a slipcase. Supplementary footage includes two versions each of the opening and ending without credits and two end-card variants, reproducing the extras from the earlier Blu-ray release.
