Don't Call It Mystery Special Blu-ray
TV ドラマ ミステリと言う勿れ特別編
Don’t Call It Mystery returns with a television special combining a fresh version of the original series’ opening case and the new Time Capsule story. Totono Kuno’s extraordinary knowledge and distinctive outlook allow him to unravel people’s troubles and the mysteries surrounding them, simply by calmly sharing observations that can be gentle one moment and incisive the next.
When his university classmate Ken Sagae is found dead, Totono comes under suspicion of murder. He is questioned by officers Seiko Furomitsu and Yuto Ikemoto, Inspector Nariaki Aoto and Assistant Inspector Kanzo Yabu of Otonari Police Station. Meanwhile, detectives speak to Ren Sagara on campus, and seminar tutor Haruo Amatatsu worries about both of his students. The special adds a new perspective to the original case and reveals how Totono and Ren first met.
A few days after the case is solved, Ren invites Totono to take a strange temporary job paying ten thousand yen a day. Totono initially refuses, but Ren’s carefree confidence that he can handle anything finally wears him down. On the day of the job, they gather in a building that was used as a school until a few years earlier.
Organiser Yoko Sakamaki and her secretary Kirie welcome the many participants to a classroom, where the real task is revealed: find a time capsule buried thirty years ago. Can Totono and Ren discover where it lies? The release also includes footage from the start and completion of filming.
