Dorohedoro Original Manga Soundtrack returns in a two-CD Standard Edition reissue. The dark-fantasy manga later reached a worldwide anime audience in 2020, but this album began as a musical companion to the manga itself. Originally released by MHz in 2016 in oversized two-CD packaging, it was supervised by creator Q Hayashida and Murder Channel's Yuta Umegatani and became a cult favorite for its uncompromising fusion of manga and music.

After going out of print, the album returns with some content changes through Murder Channel and Sad Disco, with support from diskunion. The participating musicians created their pieces after reading Dorohedoro.

Shackleton brings his distinctive ritualistic, psychedelic tribal sound. Ghengis is the alias of Gorgonn, whose dystopian dub and science-fiction steppers also appear in his G36 collaboration with The Bug. Dr Das is a core member and bassist of Asian Dub Foundation, while electronic musician Roly Porter is also known as a member of the early dubstep duo Vex'd.

Industrial-doom band khost unites Andy Swan and Damian Bennett, both active in bands since the 1980s. Big Lad, formerly Shitwife, is the braindance project of Wayne Adams, also active with Iggor Cavalera in PETBRICK. Ed Cox contributes his clowncore blend of jungle, breakcore and Romani music. The 12-track collection also features Candie Hank, NAH, hanali, Dead Fader and Dow Jones Brotherhood.
