Dr. Ramune: Mysterious Disease Specialist Animation

As long as people have hearts, there will be people troubled by worries. Into those hearts creep mysterious forces, causing strange physical symptoms. These ailments, known as mysterious diseases, exist quietly but unmistakably. A doctor and his apprentice confront illnesses that modern medicine cannot cure.

His name is Ramune. He looks nothing like a doctor, behaves freely whatever the situation and has a foul mouth to match. Yet when he faces a mysterious disease, he instantly uncovers and treats the cause of the worries hidden deep within his patient’s heart. What lies beyond that treatment—?

Adapted from Aho Toro’s manga, this supernatural medical fantasy follows Ramune and his apprentice Kuro as they unravel illnesses in which weakened, troubled hearts manifest bizarre changes in the body. This first volume contains episodes 1–3.

Extras include Mysterious Games — Extra Edition 1 and visual commentary for episode one, both featuring Yuma Uchida and Takuma Nagatsuka. The release also includes the first original soundtrack CD, with music by Tetsuro Oda, and a booklet.
