Dragon Zakura 2021 Director's Cut Blu-ray Box

The legendary lawyer Kenji Sakuragi, who got struggling students into the University of Tokyo in just six months, returns! Sixteen years later, can Sakuragi once again guide a new generation of students in the Reiwa era?

Former motorcycle-gang member and lawyer Kenji Sakuragi, played by Hiroshi Abe, became a public sensation after helping students from the underperforming Ryuzan High School enter the University of Tokyo. He subsequently established a law firm and enjoyed a successful career as an expert in school reconstruction.

Now, in the Reiwa era, vice-principal Hiroyuki Takahara, played by Mitsuhiro Oikawa, proposes that Sakuragi rebuild Ryukai Academy, a school with an academic deviation score of 32 that stands on the verge of financial collapse. But chairwoman Kumiko Tatsuno, played by Noriko Eguchi, champions a free educational atmosphere and opposes turning it into an academically selective school, dividing opinion.

Can Sakuragi and his former pupil Naomi Mizuno, played by Masami Nagasawa, now a lawyer working alongside him, produce University of Tokyo entrants and restore the academy? Awaiting them are Ryukai students carrying their own worries and difficulties: Akira Seto, played by Kaito Takahashi, who cares deeply about his sister but fears the future as the two of them run the ramen shop their parents left behind; Nao Hayase, played by Sara Minami, a contemporary high-school girl who never keeps at anything for long; and top badminton player Kaede Iwasaki, played by Yurina Hirate. Their encounters with Sakuragi and Mizuno will set their destinies in motion.
