Drakengard Square Enix Game Music

Drakengard’s original soundtrack returns following strong support in Square Enix’s soundtrack revival poll. Released in 2003, this remarkable role-playing game broke established ideas about games through a sense of madness that ran through both its story and its music.

For the score, a full orchestra was assembled. Phrases from classical music that matched the game’s atmosphere were carefully extracted, performed and sampled, then reconstructed on a computer in a groundbreaking process. That sound became legendary and continues to attract passionate support. Answering fans’ requests, the soundtrack that captivated so many listeners is finally revived.
