Dry Spell Deluxe Edition Blu-ray + DVD

Will the rain of hope fall on a thirsty world? A jewel of human drama looks toward the hope of living in a present with no clear future!

A lonely water-department employee and two young sisters left entirely alone. In a summer of restricted water supplies, one encounter begins to move the heart.

During a summer of relentless drought, the city imposes water restrictions. Shunsaku Iwakiri, played by Toma Ikuta, works for the municipal water department. His job is to visit homes and businesses with overdue water bills, collect payments and shut off their water—the enforcement of disconnection. He spends his days visiting impoverished households and being despised. He has a wife and child, but they live apart. This situation has continued for so long that the thirst in his heart has grown stronger.

One day, while carrying out a disconnection, he encounters two young sisters suffering from parental neglect. Shunsaku cannot help seeing his own child in them. As though trying to quench his own inner thirst, he reaches out to help the sisters...
