Earth Maiden Arjuna Director’s Edition Blu-ray Box

An ordinary wish to see the sea leads Juna Ariyoshi toward an extraordinary responsibility. Left near death after an accident, she experiences a vision of Earth’s polluted future. A mysterious boy named Chris offers her another chance at life if she will help protect the planet, drawing her into a struggle against the entities known as Raaja.

Created and directed by Shoji Kawamori, with music by Yoko Kanno, Earth Maiden Arjuna explores the relationship between modern life and the natural world through Juna’s awakening. This Director’s Edition gathers all 13 episodes, including the unaired ninth chapter, across three Blu-ray discs. The main programme runs approximately 347 minutes.

The 89-minute supplementary programme includes a conversation between Kawamori and Juna’s voice actor Asami Higashiyama, a Blu-ray-box commercial, episode previews, karaoke and promotional clips, programme advertisements, Amahare Genki footage, television commercials and in-story commercials. A 12-page booklet includes a new Kawamori interview, while the double book-style case features artwork by character designer Takahiro Kishida.

Japanese Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and Linear PCM stereo audio are available, with optional Japanese subtitles.
