Ensemble Stars!! Animation

The Ensemble Stars!! Reminiscence Selection brings together all three animated works, Element, Crossroad and Checkmate. Alongside the stories released on YouTube, the Blu-rays include director’s-cut footage for each work and the Masterpiece music videos seen within the productions.

The collection expands those stories with three related audio dramas, three original soundtracks and the newly written booklet Under the Icicle.

Daydream tells of another Day of Revolution. What lies beyond a life that burns through its limited time? The story follows the destination of the dream imagined by Yumenosaki Academy’s emperor, Eichi Tenshouin, and the beginning of a new encounter.

Backdoor recalls the day of meeting Rei Sakuma, a presence regarded as a god. It is an encounter so fateful that the world seems to have been repainted, a presence the soul cannot stop seeking. This is a story carrying a wish towards that special person.

Lionheart unfolds on an ordinary afternoon after school. In each word exchanged is something of the king’s heart. Even through a youth marked by wounds and cracks, the story continues moving forward.

The accompanying soundtrack CDs cover Element, Crossroad and Checkmate, with featured songs from the works included in the latter two programmes.
