Equinox: The Blue World Champion Blu-ray
イクイノックス ~駆け抜けた蒼き世界王者~
A rating of 135 made Equinox the highest-rated horse in Japanese racing history and the world’s number one in 2023. This release follows his journey to the top, with all ten career starts presented uncut from the opening of the gates to the finish line. Beginning with his August 2021 debut, it includes the six consecutive Grade 1 victories from the 2022 autumn Tenno Sho to the 2023 Japan Cup.
New interviews with jockey Christophe Lemaire, trainer Tetsuya Kimura, representative Masashi Yonemoto and other people closely involved in his career accompany Fuji Television’s own archive footage. Visits to training centres and farms help tell Equinox’s story from birth to retirement, including rare footage previously unseen in other media.
The bonus videos feature Lemaire’s race commentary, Kimura reuniting with Equinox, Fuji Television’s dedicated Equinox camera, jockey-camera footage and winning-jockey interviews. A sixteen-page original racing-results booklet accompanies the Blu-ray.
