Adapted from KOTAKE CREATE's game, this 95-minute survival film traps its characters in an apparently endless underground passage, where attention to the smallest change may be the only route out.
Genki Kawamura directs and co-writes the screenplay with Kentaro Hirase. Kazunari Ninomiya stars alongside Yamato Kochi, Naru Asanuma, Kotone Hanase and Nana Komatsu, with music by Yasutaka Nakata of CAPSULE and Shohei Amimori.
The feature Blu-ray includes around five minutes of promotional footage comprising the teaser, theatrical trailer, television spots, web commercials and film-adaptation announcement. The bonus DVD contains approximately 100 minutes of material: a making-of programme, the release special introducing the world of Exit 8, and highlights from the Cannes and Busan international film festivals. A special booklet, A6 clear file, sticker set and L-size photo print accompany the two discs. The feature offers Japanese 7.1, 5.1 and stereo audio, a Japanese audio-description track, accessible Japanese subtitles and English subtitles.
