Falling High School Girl and Irresponsible Teacher Lesson 2 Blu-ray Box
TV ドラマ 墜落JKと廃人教師 Lesson2 Blu-ray BOX
When the time comes that you can no longer bear this distance...
The long-awaited second television adaptation of the hugely popular original, with more than four million copies in circulation! Ryo Hashimoto and Akari Takaishi return, with director Yuka Eda, for a low-key romantic comedy about an irresponsible teacher and a pessimistic high-school girl.
Ryo Hashimoto continues in the leading role from the first season. The emerging young actor, popular for his looks and diverse talents, also drew attention as a boy with an attractive voice in the TBS drama Maybe Koi ga Kikoeru. He plays physics teacher Jin Haiba, a nicotine-addicted, gambling-loving, cash-strapped example of a hopeless adult whose behavior constantly pushes the limits of what one would expect from a teacher. His students disrespect him and call him Haijin, a pun on his name and the word for a wreck of a person.
The heroine is played by Akari Takaishi, who made her first leading-film appearance in Baby Assassins. Her performances in films including My Happy Marriage and Baby Assassins 2 Babies earned her the Best New Actress award at the fifteenth TAMA Film Awards. She also made her first voice-acting appearance in the film The Colors Within, released in summer 2024. Here she reprises Mikoto Ochiai, a high-school student with outstanding grades and a strongly pessimistic outlook.
The original manga by sora began serialization in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume in July 2017. At the time of this drama's announcement, nineteen volumes had been released. Its polished, understated comic conversations wrap around serious themes, while its uniquely laid-back characters and the cherished romance between two people who never cross the boundary separating teacher and student have resonated with many readers. The series has become a major hit with over four million copies in circulation.
Mikoto Ochiai, an excellent student prone to negative thoughts, is about to jump from the school rooftop after heartbreak when her physics teacher, Jin Haiba, interrupts her. Before you die, why not fall in love with me? Were his words a lie intended to stop her suicide, or a serious confession? His behavior gives her no clear answer. Mikoto decides against jumping, and although Jin's irresponsibility continually exasperates her, she finds herself drawn to him.
A year has passed since their rooftop encounter. The two have fallen for someone they should not fall for, yet their relationship still does not cross the line; they conceal it within a lie. Then a school assignment and a birthday begin to reveal the starting point of their connection, something only Jin had known.
The original is sora's Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoshi, serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume. Directors: Yuka Eda and Natsuki Takahashi. Screenwriters: Natsuki Takahashi and Ayumi Shimo.
