Fate/Grand Order Anime

A Blu-ray Disc Box compiles Fate/Grand Order -First Order-, broadcast at the end of 2016, and Fate/Grand Order -MOONLIGHT/LOSTROOM-, broadcast at the end of 2017. The main programs include English subtitles for the first time, with an English dub for First Order only.

The year is 2015, the last age in which magecraft still exists. Chaldea, the organization safeguarding the continuation of human history, was established to observe worlds invisible to magic alone or immeasurable by science alone and prevent humanity's decisive extinction. Its overriding mission is to preserve human history. One day, the future it has continuously observed disappears. Humanity will become extinct in 2017—not merely a discovery, but a proven fact. The apparent cause lies in Fuyuki, a provincial Japanese city, in 2004, where an unobservable region that never existed before has appeared. Chaldea treats this as the cause of humanity's destruction and declares the mission to investigate, understand or destroy the Singularity: the quest for the Holy Grail known as Grand Order.

First Order originally aired within Fate Project New Year's Eve TV Special First & Next Order. Ritsuka Fujimaru is invited to Chaldea for his potential as a Master. On his first visit he meets the quiet Mash Kyrielight. Lacking a background in magecraft, Fujimaru is excluded from the initial mission, but a catastrophic accident strikes the other Master candidates and numerous staff members, including Mash. When he regains consciousness, he is in Fuyuki in 2004, the site of a former Holy Grail War. Before him stands Mash Kyrielight, now a Servant carrying a shield as tall as herself. Here is issued the first directive leading to Grand Order: First Order.

Moonlight/Lostroom aired within Fate Project New Year's Eve TV Special 2017. The Lostroom is a place to see what has been lost—or what will be lost. Forgotten in a corner of Chaldea, it is a room belonging to no one.

Video extras compile promotional footage for the smartphone RPG Fate/Grand Order: the opening for Part 1, the opening for Part 2 and its later opening, and animated commercials from 2015 through January 2023, ending with Lostbelt No.7, Golden Sea of Trees Travelogue: Nahui Mictlan, Part 2. The three-sided box features a new illustration by Moonlight/Lostroom character designer Tomonori Nagasaku. Specifications and contents may change without notice.

First Order's Japanese cast features Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ritsuka Fujimaru, Rie Takahashi as Mash Kyrielight, Ayako Kawasumi as Fou, Madoka Yonezawa as Olga Marie Animusphere, Kenichi Suzumura as Romani Archaman and Tomokazu Sugita as Lev Lainur. Moonlight/Lostroom features Shimazaki, Takahashi, Yonezawa and Sugita in the same roles.

The two region-free Blu-rays run approximately 120 minutes with Japanese Linear PCM audio on both programs and English Linear PCM dubbed audio on First Order only, plus English and Japanese subtitles. Channel counts are not specified by the edition's technical listing.
