Fei Ren Zai: Gods’ Everyday Life Blu-ray Box

The hit Chinese animation Fei Ren Zai brings the gods of ancient mythology into everyday modern life. Inspired by Investiture of the Gods, Journey to the West and the Classic of Mountains and Seas, this comedy follows divine beings and supernatural creatures through a world that is both amusingly familiar and wonderfully strange.

Despite their extraordinary powers, these legendary figures live quietly among ordinary people. Kyūgetsu is a nine-tailed fox who appears to be a beautiful young office worker; Gōretsu is a dragon whose frightening appearance makes him unexpectedly endearing; and Kōten is foolish but impossible to dislike. Cool, charming Nata shares this world with Kannon, a troubled middle manager, and Yōzen, everyone’s dependable three-eyed big brother.

Their neighbours include Tamachan, a naturally innocent rabbit; Seiei, a nervous but lovable married woman; and Ryūme, whose cuteness is often accompanied by runaway enthusiasm. Fiery Kōgai, brilliant scholarly beast Hakutaku and the headless yet thoroughly manly Keiten add to the chaos, alongside self-proclaimed stylish elder brother Jūichigetsu and the kind but meddlesome Dakki.

Together, they turn ordinary days into a lively, heart-warming slapstick comedy filled with divine powers, unusual personalities and very human problems.
