First Love DOGs Blu-ray Box

Divorce lawyer Aiko Hanamura leaves court and brushes aside invitations from her firm's director Keita Honzawa and paralegal partner Rumiko Yuge so she can hurry home to Sakura, the dog she has recently adopted. Meanwhile, veterinarian Kai Shirosaki uses humor to explain to university students why animals in difficult circumstances need shelters. Both adults have complicated relationships with people, but the animals in their lives are about to change that.

While Aiko walks Sakura, a large, fluffy white dog named Shogun appears. The two dogs are immediately drawn to each other. Kai, Shogun's owner, suggests joint walks to encourage their first romance, but Aiko dismisses love as an illusion. Then Woo Seo-ha, the young heir to Korea's Uroa Group, arrives in Japan and visits Kai's clinic with an undisclosed purpose. A cross-border love triangle begins as three guarded adults struggle to understand their own feelings.

Kaya Kiyohara, Ryo Narita and Na In-woo lead the cast in this collaboration between TBS and Studio Dragon. They are joined by Riku Hagiwara, Emma Miyazawa, Takeshi Nadagi, Kayo Noro, Shuto Miyazaki, Riko Nagase, NOA, Wan Marui, Jin Dae-yeon, Win Morisaki, Maki Sakai, Kyoko Fukada and Goro Kishitani. SEVENTEEN performs the theme song, Love Passed By.

The box contains all ten episodes across three main-program Blu-rays, plus one bonus Blu-ray, for four discs in total. The main series runs 464 minutes with Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio and Japanese accessibility subtitles. A booklet is enclosed.

Extras comprise the side story First Love UnderDOGs: Underdogs and First Love, deleted scenes, making-of footage, individual interviews with Kiyohara and Narita, the production announcement and preview screening, a special joint interview with Kiyohara, Narita and Na In-woo, the Banken Gaogao game, a collection of on-set mishaps, cast wrap-up footage and television spots.
