Fly! Boys, Fly! Boku-tachi, CA Hajimemashita Blu-ray

A story of sweat, tears, romance and youthful determination, as new cabin attendants strive to shine in their own way!

Aviation enthusiast Chikara Asakawa enters the world of cabin attendants, a profession traditionally seen as a glamorous career for women. Could romance with a female pilot be in the air? Male crew members struggle in a demanding workplace, encouraging one another as they learn and grow.

Optimistic and hardworking, Chikara is part of a generation of awkward but earnest young people who live with all their strength. Instead of being constrained by ideas of what it means to be masculine or feminine, these characters try to live as themselves. Watch them tackle every obstacle with passion, pushing one another forward as they pursue their dreams.

Chikara is a new trainee whose childhood first love inspired him to become a cabin attendant. Together with fellow male crew members Yuichi Goda, a former member of the Self-Defense Forces; Shotaro Mayuzumi, who is gay; and Kaoru Saotome, a former model, he eagerly awaits the start of training. But cabin attendants have far more to do than serve passengers: their work includes cleaning the cabin, carrying out security checks and countless other tasks. All three men apart from Kaoru are flustered from the very first day, earning harsh comments from female crew members including Ayaka Oshima.

Meanwhile, Chikara happens upon the training of Tsubasa Takayama, a trainee pilot he has met by chance, and is captivated by her serious expression. Tsubasa is also facing a narrow path as a woman aspiring to become a pilot, struggling to overcome a barrier before her co-pilot examination. Seeing her continue to look forward, Chikara resolves that he cannot give up either. Before he knows it, those feelings begin to turn into love.

Two months later, Chikara and his companions have successfully become cabin attendants and finally face their first flight. Their work proceeds smoothly, but Kaoru is still searching for “something” that instructor Reiko Kirisawa told him he lacked as a cabin attendant after training. “Flying with Chikara will be a good learning experience.” Kaoru ponders what she meant.

The aircraft eventually reaches its destination. As Chikara sees the passengers off, he notices a woman searching around her seat. She tells him that a tiny necklace attached to the neck of her daughter’s doll has gone missing. What will Chikara do?

The Sweat, Tears and Romance booklet accompanies the drama. Behind-the-scenes making-of footage brings together an interview, exchanges in the Asakawa household, the public-bath scenes and the celebration of a King & Prince single release. A production-announcement feature captures the laughter as the participants answer questions such as where they would like to fly if they could take time off.
