NHK launched a project to encourage, through song, everyone working toward 2020 and the future beyond. Paprika, written, composed and produced by Kenshi Yonezu, became its supporting song, performed by Foorin, a new unit of five elementary-school children selected through auditions.

The song aired on Minna no Uta during August and September 2018.
