Fukushu Kareshi: The Doting CEO Has a Hidden Side Blu-ray Box

A pretend relationship sets off a chain of revenge. Is the handsome company president’s devotion a sweet trap? Ayaka Konno and Jin Suzuki star in a love story that begins with a lie and grows increasingly difficult to keep under control.

Konno, an exclusive non-no model, continues her growing acting career with another leading television role following Kiss de Fusaide, Barenaide. Suzuki, a MEN’S NON-NO model whose film appearances include Teasing Master Takagi-san and Hakkenden, plays company president Shun Satori. By posing as Maika’s boyfriend, Shun helps her take revenge on her unfaithful partner and the other woman while seeking an escape from his own engagement.

The supporting performers add new turns to this relationship of convenience. BALLISTIK BOYZ member Masahiro Sunada follows roles in Billion × School and Boku no Azatoi Motokano from Azatokute Nani ga Warui no?, alongside OCTPATH member Shunsei Ota, Rino Wauchi of Netflix’s Chastity High, Hitoka Sakai, Shori Kondo, Ami Tomite and Ryoko Yui. Takaya Kawasaki’s theme song Aimai Blue accompanies the beautiful opening sequence with a gentle, emotional vocal performance.

Maika Hattori works for a hotel-management company and is close to marrying a colleague when she discovers he has been cheating on her. As she cries alone in a corridor, she is unexpectedly seen by Shun, the strikingly handsome heir and president of a major company. “Become my pretend girlfriend, and let’s take revenge,” he proposes.

Why would he go to such lengths for her? Shun also needs her help to get away from his fiancée, and Maika agrees to their arrangement. His kind encouragement and sweet whispers are supposed to be an act, yet she finds herself beginning to believe them. As her heart gradually heals, their practical partnership starts to feel like something more—but Shun still has secrets of his own.

The box presents all eight episodes, making-of footage, an outer sleeve case and a booklet.
