Story — Galactic Drifter Vifam 13 As the Janus heads for Taut, a satellite of the planet Kukto, it is contacted by an organization calling itself Lapis, a refugee protection organization. Its message promises to protect Kuktonians and Earth people alike. At the same time, enemy attacks, which had stopped for a while, begin again. Is the message from Lapis an enemy trap? While the children struggle to decide, they pick up an SOS from the Earth forces. It comes from an Earth cruiser that has collided with a Kuktonian space station and been wrecked. The only survivors are twin babies placed in an escape capsule. Yet when the capsule is opened, they turn out to be Kuktonian babies. The thirteen aboard the Janus are at a loss.
