Sumapura Movie information supplied at release This was a Sumapura Movie compatible product, with a feature for viewing the video recorded on the Blu-ray on a smartphone as well. The recommended smartphone operating systems were iOS 7 or later and Android 4.0 or later; the service was designed for smartphones and tablets. Instructions were included with the product. First-time users needed free ID registration and the free dedicated Sumapura Movie player app.

Downloading the app and content required separate communications charges and large data transfers. A flat-rate mobile data plan or a Wi-Fi connection was recommended. Usage could be restricted according to the customer's mobile carrier contract. With insufficient free space on a device, content might not download or play; users were instructed to free sufficient storage and try again. Depending on the device, normal use or playback might not work. Registration used a Japanese-language website. The service was for use within Japan, and operation outside Japan was not guaranteed. The source also stated that refunds were not possible once the product had been sent.

The stated service validity was two years from the January 26, 2022 release date, so that period has expired. Current access to the mobile service is not guaranteed.
