Ghostbusters Original Score celebrates the film's thirty-fifth anniversary with music by Elmer Bernstein, including the elusive end credits.
Unlike the pop-focused soundtrack released with the film, which contains only two Bernstein score selections, this album focuses on the score and includes pieces not used in the finished movie. This first Japanese release adds End Credits as a Japan-edition bonus track.
Bernstein, who lived from April 4, 1922 to August 18, 2004, composed scores for The Ten Commandments, The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape and To Kill a Mockingbird. His work earned Academy Award nominations in every decade from the 1950s through the 2000s.
The Blu-spec CD2 edition includes liner notes and a booklet with a special contribution by his son Peter Bernstein.
