GO HOME: Keishicho Mimoto Fumeinin Sodanshitsu Blu-ray Box follows two women determined to restore names and personal histories to unidentified people who have died. Drawing on the work of a real Tokyo Metropolitan Police department, the drama combines investigative mysteries with the families, relationships and unfinished lives behind each case.

The clues can be as unsettling as human bones discovered in a school science-room model, or as puzzling as an elderly man who left behind forty million yen. Why did these people die without anyone able to identify them? By following the smallest traces, the investigators try to uncover the circumstances of each death and return the deceased to the people who knew and loved them.

Fuka Koshiba and Yuko Oshima lead a cast that includes Ryohei Abe, Miki Yanagi, Riko Kawase, Shigeyuki Totsugi, Kazuaki Hankai, Reiko Takashima and Kotaro Yoshida. This Nippon Television production places its human stories alongside the police work, with the search for identity giving each mystery a personal purpose.

The box contains five programme discs with 450 minutes of drama and a sixth disc with 90 minutes of supplements. A special making-of feature is joined by Fuka Koshiba's two-part interview and additional comments from Yuko Oshima and Ryohei Abe. A booklet accompanies the six-disc set.

The region-free Blu-rays present the programme in Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo. Japanese subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers are provided for the main programme only, not the supplementary footage.
