Haikyu!! Animation

Karasuno High School versus Nekoma High School: the match known as the “Battle at the Garbage Dump.” Now, a match with no “one more time” is about to begin.

Inspired by the “Little Giant” he saw on a televised Spring High volleyball match while still in elementary school, Shoyo Hinata joins Karasuno High School’s volleyball club. But waiting there is Tobio Kageyama, the opponent who handed him a crushing defeat in the first and last official match of his junior-high years!?

Although the two clash at first, Hinata’s extraordinary athletic ability and Kageyama’s precise sets create a miraculous quick attack, nicknamed the “Freak Quick,” that becomes a driving force in Karasuno’s revival.

At a joint training camp with Tokyo’s Nekoma High School, Hinata meets Kenma Kozume, who will become his destined rival. Karasuno plays with an intensely offensive style, while Nekoma’s equally defensive style is built around its motto of “connecting.” Through their matches with Nekoma, the members of Karasuno discover new possibilities.

Karasuno continues to evolve as it defeats one formidable opponent after another, from the Miyagi representative qualifiers for the Spring High tournament to the tournament’s opening round. In the second round, the team overcomes title contender Inarizaki High School.

At last, the third round brings a confrontation with their long-standing rivals, Nekoma High School. Despite countless practice matches, these two teams have never crossed swords on an official stage: Karasuno versus Nekoma, the “Battle at the Garbage Dump.”

At the place they promised to meet, a battle with no “one more time” is finally about to begin.
