Hakubi moves into its second phase with Eye, the Kyoto trio's second full album. Formed in 2017, the band draws its force from singer and guitarist Katagiri's direct words and powerful voice, which reaches outward as though holding back its own vulnerability.
The album expands the band's sound while bringing more vivid scenes into its lyrics. Katagiri's emotional vocal performances run throughout the ten-song record, giving its evolving production a shared center.
Rewrite, the ending theme of The Tale of the Outcasts, opens the album. Twilight comes from the RPG Memento Mori, Aitagai accompanies a Piccoma commercial, and Kimi ga Iu Yoni Kono Sekai wa is the theme of the drama Seishun Cinderella. Eye, Yurete and Yume ga Yume de Aru Uchi ni complete the album's wider picture.
